1+1 = Tango

Tango is the only backboard on the market that can split itself into two. The innovative paediatric board Baby Go that lives alongside the adult board.

Two devices that allow the simultaneous double rescue for adult and paediatric patient, a single solution that represents the constructive Spencer excellence.

The paediatric spine board

Baby go is an essential support helps in keeping the pediatric patient's backbone height between 45 and 150 cm [between 17.71 and 59.05 in] in its natural position and obtaining an optimal alignment of the respiratory tract.

Adult spine board

Thanks to its X-ray compatibility and its handgrip on all sides, the adult board allows a correct immobilization and an easy transport.

A complete solution for spinal immobilization

Tango

In the world of emergency care, it is important to optimize stocking spaces and to satisfy all requests for ergonomically advanced rescue equipment. Optimizing space and performance is the line Spencer drew on introducing Tango. A new design that brings together solidity, dynamics, space and quality and at the same time sets a new standard for high-performance spine boards. Great results and above all, great for its attention towards the patient; adults and child. An exclusive idea that allows 2 different profiles with one single product, reducing costs and stock volume.

Baby Go

The head of a child is proportionally bigger than that of an adult and the dorsal muscles are less developed; placing a paediatric patient on a standard spine board could cause dangerous flexion of the head. Baby Go is the only paediatric spine board in the world which offers 4 different profiles which can be adjusted in depth ( from 0 to 25 mm) [from 0 to 0.98 in] in order to optimise compensation of the child's nuchal zone, avoiding hyper extension of the head and guaranteeing the correct and safe neutral position for the spinal column with the ideal alignment of the airways.

RSP

Correct immobilising is possible only with the use of a correct restraint system which must be both rapid and easy to use. RSP is the most advanced restraint system for paediatric patients. Thanks to the printed colour coded metric scale, precise height determination of the child becomes a rapid operation. Spencer is the first company to develop this characteristic and it offers the rescuer immediate identification the correct profile of Baby Go needed (measure or colour coding system) so that the immobilising of the paediatric patient is both safe and correct.

Progressione occipitale

The design which is an extract from the official website of the American Academy of Orthesists and Protesists, shows the progression of the occipital angle from infant to adolescent stages. Baby Go differs from other normal spine boards because it has four profiles which permit the rescuer to offer better assistance to the paediatric patient while maintaining correct balance of the nuchal area.

Three reasons to choose Tango

Product of the year 2011

The presentation of the spine board Tango in the U.S.A has immediately achieved a huge success thanks to the presence in the EMS Today in Baltimore, one of the most important EMS fairs in the world. At the event Tango was elected as most innovative product of the year by EMS1, landmark journalistic emergency overseas. In the article published by the American newspaper, which you can read at this link, Tango is described as "by far the most advanced and versatile spine oard ever seen". Another great reward also came from Jems, a very important EMS magazine, which included Tango between the products of the year.
